This event is taking place in-person in a private residence in LA (location will be shared with registrants) from 12pm-6pm PST.
On this day, we will gather together and participate in weaving an earth altar to embody the energy of the day—IX The Jaguar—in alignment with the Mayan count of days. Sit and commune with the medicine of Cacao to open the heart, connect to your roots and elevate your intentions in an Indigenous ceremonial setting; learn how to transmute grief into creation to reach our highest potentials; reclaim and learn the significance of Indigenous plant medicines + create flower essences for daily use. We will close our retreat with a community Reiki & prayer.
Our Retreat Activities Include:
12:00-1:00 Earth Altar Building (Participants are invited to bring anything of significance to them as an offering to the community and land for altar)
2:00-3:00 PM Cacao ceremony lead by Madre Jaguar
3:00-4:00 PM Creative workshop after grief release led by Madre Jaguar
4:00-5:00 PM Flower essence workshop using LA Native plants led by Aki
5:00-6:00 PM Closing meditation + community Reiki + prayer

Aki Hirata Quetzalyolotzin Jewel Moon Medicine Woman is attuned to various energetic healing frequencies including Usui Reiki, Earth Evolution Reiki, IET, and 13th Octave LaHoChi. She is also a master teacher of Usui Reiki, co-channeller of Earth Evolution Reiki symbols, and the founder of MINKA Brooklyn. She is a moondancer, and trained under numerous teachers of ancient traditions, including Hatha yoga, pranayama and meditation (Integral Yoga Institute), Ayurvedic Nutrition (Naina Marballi), Art of Energy Healing (Suzy Mezoly), MedicineWay (Irma StarSpirit Turtle Woman), Toltec Healing Practice (Sergio Magaña Ocelocoyotl), Curanderismo (Rita Navarete Prez and Tonia Gonzalez) and more.
Madre Jaguar (she/they) is an Intuitive Artist, Birth Doula, Clairvoyant Oracle, Mayan Time Keeper and Traditional Healer of Mayan, Pipil, Nahual and Garifuna descent. Born in Los Angeles, CA to Salvadoran immigrants and raised in Mexico, Madre Jaguar has always walked between the worlds. Their practice is rooted in Nature and takes inspiration from their ancestral heritage and indigenous traditions of the Americas.

Paying it Forward
We provide most of our community offerings and private sessions by sliding scale. This is based on the idea of ‘paying it forward’ which enables more people to access healing and wellness. This works when people pay as much as they can for our offerings to help others who may be less fortunate be able to gain access, too. We believe everyone is entitled to heal and thrive, and that practitioners deserve to earn a living wage. We are all in this together and choose to do our best to take care of one another.
