Facilitator Training in Menstrual Ceremony through Feminine Reclamaition: Guiding the Next Generation Through Sacred Menstrual Rites and Mythic Remembrance

The ancient ones saw our menstruation and the monthly blood as a vital force of life and magic.  How we have moved so far away from this knowing - all for us to now reclaim this part of us for the renewal of human consciousness.

This training is offered to all those who are interested in creating a celebratory ceremonial space for the menstruating bodies.  Whether you are interested in creating this space for your inner child, or a parent, aunty, grandparents or community space holder wanting to create a space for the young ones as they embark on their new journey - I invite you to come and un-learn in order for us to remember the wholeness of our menstruating body.

These sessions are designed to prepare those who are interested not only in the technicality of ceremony facilitation, but also in the art and energetics of what it means to create a transformative space through deep healing work of mind and heart.

This class is designed to guide participants to understand the deeply lodged patriarchal belief system that negates the full blossoming of the Feminine in order to guide the next generation to honor their powerful nature we carry within.  We welcome any person within the gender spectrum, however we will be learning specifically the reclamation of the Feminine.  There will be a discussion on what it means to hold space for folks with various gender expressions though that will not be the focus of this class.

The session includes:

  • Healing of subconscious belief systems that continues the oppression of the Feminine and its sexual power

  • Historical understanding of why menstruation is shamed

  • Examples from Mythology to reclaim our innate power

  • Cultural and ancestral remembrance inside of our bodies

  • Creation of ceremonial space

  • Community building and space holding

In this 3-day training, we will navigate various parts of us to uncover, heal and connect to the parts of us lost:

Day 1:  BODY

On our first day, we will discuss the physical significance of menstruation and the larger cycle of female sexuality and its archetype: Maiden, Mother, Crone and Prostitute.  We will learn how hormonal changes give rise to particular kinds of interpersonal and sexual cravings, and what they signal to us physically, psychologically and emotionally.

Day 2:  MIND & HEART

On the second day of our training we are focusing our attention to the healing of our subconscious.  Through history and mythology, we gain deeper insights into the current states of our psyche - and to start the process of reclamation of our forgotten power.  To hold space for others is to bear the responsibility of holding others' vulnerability; and this requires us to have utmost accountability to our own shadows.

Day 3: SPIRIT

On this final day, we are working to remember our Medial nature.  Our powerful connection to intuition and the invisible realm comes from connecting to the cycles of our body which are interwoven with the cycles of everything else.  We will culminate this training with the celebration of the birth of Medial women now ready to create a space for all those who are embarking on the path of the Red Flow.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own cultural tradition of menstruation into the class to share with others.

Paying it Forward
We provide most of our community offerings and private sessions by sliding scale. This is based on the idea of ‘paying it forward’ which enables more people to access healing and wellness. This works when people pay as much as they can for our offerings to help others who may be less fortunate be able to gain access, too. We believe everyone is entitled to heal and thrive, and that practitioners deserve to earn a living wage. We are all in this together and choose to do our best to take care of one another. Thank you for being part of the MINKA community!
