Curious About Oracle Cards, but not Interested in Anything Rigid, Performative, or Overly Mystical?

Join Aki Hirata Quetzalyolotzin Jewel Moon, initiated Medicine Woman, Moondancer, and founder of MINKA Constellations for an evening of gathering, reflection, and intuitive practice—where the cards are not used to predict your life, but to help you meet it more deeply.

We begin at the table: food, conversation, and a softening into the body—because intuition doesn’t open when we’re rushed or trying to get it right. It opens when there is space to notice. From there, we enter into the world of oracle cards as a shared practice—learning how to slow down, look, and listen in a different way.

Oracle cards are not tricks, and not something you simply make up. They help shift your attention. There is a quieter layer of life always moving through the body, emotions, relationships, and timing. The cards offer a pause, a place to look and feel, and in that space, something begins to reveal itself. Not forced, not figured out, but met.

This is where intuition lives—where sensing and understanding come together, and where you do not have to choose between logic and mystery but can be in relationship with both.

Throughout the evening, we will explore how to work with oracle cards in a grounded and personal way, the difference between intuition and anxiety, intuition and psychic ability, and the feminine arts of receptivity, patience, and subtle knowing. We will also practice soothing the mind, so it does not override what is quietly emerging. Flow of the evening: Part dinner, part ritual, part practice.

You’ll eat, pull cards, reflect, and share—if you’d like.

There will be no pressure to perform and no right way to read. This will be a space to begin building your own relationship with intuition through body, perception, and lived experience.

Simple does not mean easy. In many ways, it is the hardest thing, because there is nowhere to hide in complexity or performance; this is a practice of being present, of being in relationship—with yourself, with others, and with what is unfolding. There is something larger being remembered here as well. When aunties, mothers, grandmothers, and crones gather to reclaim their seeing power, they restore an ancient thread of feminine wisdom that patriarchy has long tried to break. This remembrance stands against the continued sexualization, grooming, and overvaluation of the maiden at the expense of the whole feminine life cycle. It calls power back to the mature, the initiated, the seasoned, and the wise.

This workshop is part of a larger arc of remembrance, helping prepare the ground for the emerging work of the Remembering Red Priestess Facilitator Training.

Please bring: A journal, sacred items to add to the collective altar (you will go home with your item).
