Twerk + Release

FACILITATED BY: Emmé White

EXCHANGE: $33-$44 Sliding Scale

REGISTER

A monthly circle focused on reflection, somatic movement, and release, this workshop will help attendees discover how to use Twerk as a tool for stress relief and chakra care. Attendees will learn about Twerk as a ritual for emotional and physical release, divine feminine awakening, and physical health. Each workshop will end with a candle release ritual. This virtual workshop will allow attendees to move freely without fear of judgment from others. Attendees will build confidence while connecting to the divine feminine.

The workshop will start with introductions + checkins, a grounding meditation, and discussion + mantra setting. We’ll then settle into a warm up flow and twerk session. Afterwards, we will gently cool down and seal in the healing with breath work. The final portion includes reflection and sharing, and ends with a candle release ritual.

Attendees will need a comfortable space where they can sit, move around, and dance. They should wear clothes that are comfortable to dance in and do not restrict hip movement. Attendees will also need a notebook, pen, candle, and lighter. A Yoga mat and access to a mirror is suggested.

Paying it Forward
We provide most of our community offerings and private sessions by sliding scale. This is based on the idea of ‘paying it forward’ which enables more people to access healing and wellness. This works when people pay as much as they can for our offerings to help others who may be less fortunate be able to gain access, too. We believe everyone is entitled to heal and thrive, and that practitioners deserve to earn a living wage. We are all in this together and choose to do our best to take care of one another.
Thank you for being part of the MINKA community!
