Let us come together to cultivate the energy of the MAGICIAN within, who utilizes 4 elemental energies at will for creation and manifestation.
This day-long ceremony will be held on June 17th, the day of the Dark Moon—an auspicious day for deep reflection. This moon helps with releasing and fertilizing our inner fields. It supports the planting of the seeds for manifestation the energy of, not only our authentic selves, but also draws from the earth and the cosmos, as we invite in all the elements, astrological information, and the energetic support of all the guides who are ready to support us in reaching our potential in this lifetime.
At this time of tremendous change for our earthly existence, we find it critical for us to come together as a community to co-create a future towards harmony.
Our day is structured to guide us through reflection and release, followed by receiving insights and information. This connection to source will be open for all participants to continue working with the energy until the day of the Solstice on June 21st, 10:58 a.m. EST, during which participants are invited to sit in a brief meditation to experience the collective work within each of us.
Facilitated by the three Japanese Witches of MINKA (in English!), we offer the following in this day-long ceremony for your renewal:
10am: Community altar set-up and opening ceremony with cacao
10:30am: Flower essence making
11:30am: Yoga & movement
12:15pm: Breathwork
1:15pm: LUNCH
2:15pm: Astrology insights for the solstice & the season
3:30pm: Earth Evolution portal & drum journey with sound healing
4:30pm: Closing fire ceremony
Participants who are interested can also work with plant medicine microdose to deepen the connection with the natural world.
What to bring (concrete floor - be sure to bring something to be comfortable):
Water bottle, comfortable clothing, things to add to the collective altar, reflection letter to self (can be put to the altar), yoga mat, blankets, other items needed for yoga, journal & pen (or whatever else you want to use to write), your birth chart.**

Aki Hirata-Baker is an empress with a spirit of the magician and the heart of the high priestess. Just as her natal chart suggests, she is a Phoenix who constantly re-invents herself. Her love for mysticism and forces unseen was evident in her second grade essay, in which she proclaimed she wanted to be a witch when she grew up. Driven by her passion for understanding powers in all things, and her struggle with depression and chronic physical ailments, Aki studied various healing modalities such as Ayurvedic Medicine, Integral Hatha Yoga, meditation, Essential Oils, Bach & FES flower essences, Energy Healing (Reiki, IET, 13th Octave LaHoChi and more), Indigenous healing & medicine practices of the Americas taught by Nana Irma StarSpirit Turtle Woman, Maestra Rita Navarette Prez & Tonita Gonzalez, Maestro Sergio Magaña Ocelotcoyotl and Maestro Akaxe Gomez.
Nami Soga is a yoga teacher, and certified Reiki master, trained both in the US and Japan. She graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2019 and is currently offering individual healing sessions as a New York State licensed acupuncturist and massage therapist incorporating many different healing modalities she has been studying for over a decade. In 2021, she has completed an Ericksonian hypnosis practitioner training and incorporates hypnosis and guided meditation in her sessions also.
Fumiha Tanaka was born and raised in Japan, Indonesia, and Singapore, and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. Her experience growing up as a minority away from her ancestral home has allowed her to understand what it feels like to long for home and connection with our ancestors, and brought her to work with trauma and empowerment of herself and others on different levels. She is a practioner of Usui Reiki and Earth Evolution Reiki, trained in Breathwork, IET (Integrated Energy Therapy), and Medical Intuition, and herbalism for which she utilizes healing modalities from different indigenous traditions and weaves them into her work with plants.

What Is Sliding Scale?
We provide all of our community offerings and some private sessions by sliding scale. We believe everyone is entitled to heal their wounds so they can thrive; we also believe that wellness and healing practitioners deserve to make a living wage. In order to make this possible, we ask you to pay as much as you can, so those who might not be able to pay as much can still receive their healing session--this is the idea behind 'paying it forward'. We are all in this together, and we choose to do our best to take care of one another.
