This in-person monthly event includes a group community healing session with Reiki, prayer, tarot, journaling, sound healing, and community altar building. In this offering, we are creating a space of gentle introduction and experience for those interested in learning how Reiki can be a viable and beneficial addition to their daily lives. This is for all members of the local community, who want to experience the healing power of not only the ‘act of healing’ but also the grounding and calm of being present in a more nourishing and vulnerable community healing space—incorporating/celebrating Indigenous and cultural practices and disciplines of ritual and ceremony.

*Relax and improve your well-being by experiencing the nurturing power of Reiki. Reiki is a healing method from Japan that developed in the late 19th century. It works through placing of one’s palms in precise positions on and above a client’s specific body parts between the head and feet. During a session, the client is fully clothed and lying down on a massage table. As an alternative holistic therapy, Reiki promotes restoration by tapping into the electromagnetic field of the body. By adjusting the body’s vibrational frequencies, Reiki treatments activate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) and reduce the sympathetic nervous system (fight and flight). This healing modality helps the body release physical and emotional constraints, improving health and wellness.

Please bring a small offering item to add to the community altar, a journal, pen, and comfortable clothing. Small bites and snacks provided.
