MINKA Constellations & Ifetayo Cultural Arts Academy team up to offer a monthly Ife Grove Community Clinic to increase access to Acupuncture & Reiki. The sliding-scale sessions are 30 minutes of deep restoration—calming the nervous system, reducing pain, and helping to bring the mind, body and spirit into balance.

Our community clinic model is rooted in the reality that we all need care, yet we don't all have the same access to that care.  Peoples of the African Diaspora and our siblings of the Global South often face discrimination, dismissal, systemic inequities and harm within healthcare spaces. Our collaboration aims to provide a Diaspora-centered space of care that considers the current experiences and complex histories of our kin while expanding the types of healing modalities we get to benefit from.

Paying It Forward

We provide most of our community offerings and private sessions by sliding scale. This is based on the idea of ‘paying it forward’ which enables more people to access healing and wellness. This works when people pay as much as they can for our offerings to help others who may be less fortunate be able to gain access, too. We believe everyone is entitled to heal and thrive, and that practitioners deserve to earn a living wage. We are all in this together and choose to do our best to take care of one another. Thank you for being part of the MINKA community!
