MINKA

We offer training, workshops, classes and one-on-one sessions on the subjects of healing, wellness, spirituality, ancestral connections via zoom and in-person.

MINKA in Japanese, means ‘home of the people’. It was created as a way to offer a radical sense of belonging: to each other, to the Earth, to the Universe, to Spirit, and to ourselves.

MINKA opened its door in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn in 2016.  Since 2020, we have pivoted to expand our work by existing in a constellation of aligned partnerships both in physical locations and virtual space.

Who is Minka?

We are teachers, facilitators, practitioners, caretakers and change makers who are committed to radically re-imagine our collective future with healing of ourselves in community at the heart.  We bring our diverse human experiences alongside decades of professional training into our work so that we can meet folx exactly where they are.
